Accept contactless payments directly on your phone. Tap to Pay on Android turns your compatible phone into a contactless payment terminal, offering a fast, secure and easy way to get paid on the go.

Before you start, you’ll need:
- A Canadian bank account
- A compatible Android device1
- A partner-enabled payment app: Square
- To confirm NFC is turned on in your device settings and enable Tap to Pay on Android
Here’s what to do:

When your customer is ready to check out, enter the transaction amount and present your compatible Android device to the customer.

Have your customer tap their contactless card or digital wallet on the back of your Android device.

Once the customer has tapped, wait for confirmation that the payment has been approved.
