Interac Corp. is thrilled to announce that Ramesh Siromani, Executive Vice President, Cards, Payments & Transformation at RBC has joined its Board of Directors.
Ramesh is a veteran financial executive with more than 20 years of experience in banking, operations and technology, with a particular focus on transformation strategies and innovation. In his current role, he is a key voice in the bank’s transformation agenda, responsible for leading the strategy development for Personal and Commercial Banking and RBC’s industry-leading Cards business. Ramesh also leads integrated payments governance across RBC, including the strategy development and modernization of RBC’s payments capabilities. Previously, he led the strategy and transformation program to build RBC’s leading edge digital and solution delivery capabilities.
Ramesh joined RBC in 2017 from Kearney, where he was a Partner leading global consulting engagements. He has held a variety of roles in retail and commercial banking at HSBC over a 10-year period. He is a Chartered Accountant and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Delhi in India and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Ramesh is active in diversity and mentorship programs and serves as the co-chair of the Black Professionals in Technology Champion’s Roundtable. He has previously served on the Board of Payments Canada.
Ramesh’s expertise in transformation will be a tremendous asset in guiding the Interac growth strategy moving forward as the company continues to broaden access for Canadians to connect to the digital economy.
Ramesh joins Sheila Vokey and Sona Mehta as new members on the Interac board.
