To pay with Interac using Apple Pay in stores, there is no need to wake the display or open an app. Just hold your iPhone near the contactless terminal with your finger on Touch ID. You’ll see “Done” on the display, along with a subtle vibration and beep, letting you know your payment information was sent.
On a Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch up to the contactless terminal. A gentle tap and beep confirm that your payment information was sent.

When you use your Interac debit card with Apple Pay, your transactions are protected by the same secure features you rely on to protect your Interac Debit and Interac Flash card based transactions.
The Interac Zero Liability policy protects you from losses resulting from circumstances beyond your control. This includes losses resulting from technical errors, system problems, or unauthorized transactions as a result of fraud.
Apple Pay is protected by Touch ID and your device Passcode. For your security, when you make a purchase using Apple Pay, you must either use Touch ID or the Passcode for your device.
When you add your Interac debit card to Apple Pay, your account number is neither stored on the Apple device nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time token so you can pay in confidence knowing your personal financial information is never shared with merchants.
If your iPhone is ever lost or stolen, you can use Find my iPhone to quickly put your device in Lost Mode to suspend Apple Pay, or you can wipe your device clean completely. You can also contact your financial institution to suspend or remove your Interac debit card from your Wallet.
