Security you know
and trust

When you use Interac Debit on Android Pay, your transactions are protected by the same secure features you rely on to protect your Interac Debit and Interac Flash transactions.

Cardholder verification

Android Pay is protected by your phone’s standard device unlock, such as password, PIN, pattern or fingerprint. For your security, some transactions may require you to enter your device unlock in order to authenticate your purchase.

Limits

You will be required to enter your passcode when you've reached your single transaction or cumulative limit. Limits can vary, and are set by your financial institution.

Secure, private transactions

When you add your Interac debit card to Android Pay, your account number is neither stored on the Android device nor on Android servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is created for that card on that Android device. Only your Device Account Number is used to make purchases, so you can pay in confidence knowing your personal financial information is never shared with merchants.

Protection for lost devices

If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can find, lock or erase it using "Find My Device". You can also contact your financial institution to suspend or remove your Interac debit card from your Wallet.

Interac Zero Liability Policy

You are protected from losses resulting from circumstances beyond your control. This includes losses resulting from technical errors, system problems, or unauthorized transactions as a result of fraud.
